Comments about George W. Bush's Analysis

From Katie's note to Paul Bedard (U.S. News & World Report):

"I'd like to preface the following analysis by saying that first of all, I am a Libertarian, so I don't have a political preference for either the Republican or Democratic candidate. Also, I have not spent much time following the political careers (or campaigns) of these candidates.

"I want you to know this so you'll understand that the analysis provided (on the following page) is without political bias of any kind and without knowing much personally or politically about the candidate. It is based entirely on what I discovered in the handwriting sample that you provided to me.

"That said, I want to thank you for this opportunity. It was very interesting, and I have a very different impression about George W. than I would have otherwise had (my main reference being his appearance at the Republican Convention).

"Unfortunately, Al Gore's sample doesn't really give me enough to work with. Although there are a couple of traits evident, I don't know if they are consistent within his normal handwriting, or if they are aberrations due to the very sparse sample. So, my "analysis" would really be more of a guess!!

"When you obtain a more extensive sample of the Vice President's handwriting - even just a paragraph or two - I will be happy to provide you with the same kind of analysis."

Warmly,

Katie Darden
