Over the years, several people have studied similarities in handwriting strokes. Milton Bunker, a shorthand instructor and master of seventeen different shorthand systems, was an American who discovered that it was the individual strokes in the handwriting that contained the personality. Testing his ideas over and over again, and building on research from Europe, he had the opportunity to "prove" the connections between the strokes and specific personality traits.
